Thailand Aims to Lure Indonesian Tourists with ‘Amazing Thailand Road Show’

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is gearing up to captivate Indonesian travelers with the ‘Amazing Thailand Road Show to Indonesia 2024’. This captivating promotional tour will traverse three major Indonesian cities—Medan, Jakarta, and Bali—showcasing Thailand’s irresistible allure as a prime travel destination for Indonesian tourists.

Mrs. Sirinard Chatsupakul, Director of the TAT Jakarta Office, emphasized the significance of this initiative: “The Amazing Thailand Road Show to Indonesia 2024 is a crucial platform for TAT and Thai tourism suppliers to connect with our Indonesian tourism partners. We aim to showcase a multitude of exceptional travel experiences in Thailand, enticing Indonesians to explore destinations throughout the kingdom.”

Kicking off on September 17th in Medan, the roadshow will make its way to Jakarta on September 18th before concluding in Bali on September 20th. A delegation of 18 Thai tourism stakeholders, including representatives from hotels, airlines, local tour operators, attractions, and golf courses, will accompany the TAT. Over 100 Indonesian travel agencies across the three cities are set to participate in this dynamic event.

Each day will be packed with engaging activities, including presentations highlighting Thailand’s latest tourism offerings, Business-to-Business (B2B) networking sessions, and a celebratory banquet complete with lucky draws. This campaign is an integral part of TAT’s broader ‘Amazing Thailand: Your Stories Never End’ promotional strategy, emphasizing the ‘Five-Must Do’ experiences in Thailand:

*

The presentation will feature specially curated travel destinations and itineraries tailored for Indonesian travelers, highlighting locations like Bangkok and its surroundings, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Phang-Nga, Krabi, Hat Yai, Ko Samui, and other captivating regions.

Tourism statistics reveal a burgeoning trend in Indonesian visitors to Thailand, with 760,938 tourists recorded in 2023. By August 2024, this figure reached 570,386, and projections suggest nearly 900,000 visitors by year-end. This remarkable growth is attributed to TAT’s vigorous marketing efforts, Indonesia’s thriving economy which fuels outbound travel demand, and the resurgence of direct flights between the two nations. The ‘Amazing Thailand Road Show to Indonesia 2024’ is poised to further fuel this positive trajectory, solidifying Thailand’s position as a top travel destination for Indonesian tourists.
