C2 Management Embraces In-Person Connections at Investment Recovery Conference

C2 Management, a company with over 25 years of experience in the world of reuse and recycling, understands the power of in-person connections. Their belief in the value of face-to-face interaction has led them to prioritize event-based engagement with industry peers and clients, recognizing its significant contribution to growth and profitability.

“Clients have always guided our path when deciding how to allocate resources to expand the company,” says C2 Management CEO Chris Hansen. “If a client is involved with a particular organization or cause, then we are interested too.”

This commitment to client-driven growth is evident in C2’s active participation in industry conferences. They’ll be at the 2024 Investment Recovery Conference and Trade Show in Phoenix next week as an exhibitor, eager to learn more about the organization and its attendees. Despite some industry skepticism about the expense, C2 is sponsoring and attending more conferences than ever before.

Jane Male, Executive Director of the Investment Recovery Association (IRA), welcomes C2 to the association and the show, highlighting the value of C2’s presence. “The Investment Recovery Association is excited to have C2 as an exhibitor at our annual conference and trade show in Phoenix from September 22-25. The show is perfectly aligned with C2’s focus on professionals who manage, buy, and sell surplus assets.”

Wally Greeves, C2’s Community and Industry Liaison, shares his enthusiasm for the conference, emphasizing the positive impact of these events on the company. “The chance to spend in-person time with clients is a privilege we’ve rediscovered after the limitations of the past few years. Instead of simply trying to meet as many people as possible, we truly focus on deepening the relationships that brought us to the show and learning from the organizations our clients choose to be a part of.”

Jennifer Nichols, C2’s Client Services Coordinator, underscores the importance of listening to clients during the onboarding process, ensuring long-lasting relationships and identifying opportunities for growth and expansion. “We prefer to invite clients to our headquarters for a tour and a personalized onboarding meeting. The opportunity to truly listen to clients in person and understand how we can make a difference for them is invaluable. It also gives us a chance to learn more about their outreach and interests.”

Founded in 1998 by Chris and Sharon Hansen, C2 is known for its creativity and ability to form strategic partnerships across the industry. Their recent R2v3 Appendix D certification, which allows them to handle specialty assets like medical, lab, testing, and industrial equipment, has expanded their partnerships with other recyclers and attracted the attention of Fortune 500 companies.

“We don’t need to be the primary asset consultant for a client and are happy to work transparently with others in the industry to provide the best possible service,” says CEO Hansen. “We firmly believe there’s more than enough work in this industry for certified organizations, and we’re comfortable being part of a larger team to meet the complex needs of our clients.”

The Berryville, Virginia-based company sees itself as a family company and takes pride in its core value of communication. Chris and Sharon Hansen are deeply grateful for the team that makes up C2 Management, recognizing that attributes like humility and honesty will ensure continued company growth.
