To address these concerns, the ever-reliable ChatGPT has stepped in to predict the odds of securing a ticket, and the results aren’t exactly encouraging.
According to ChatGPT’s analysis, the probability of securing a Coldplay ticket in India is a mere 22%. Despite the DY Patil Stadium’s capacity of nearly 50,000, the sheer number of eager fans is expected to overwhelm availability. ONDC Marketing Executive Tina Gurnaney, sharing this prediction on X, noted that the initial interest for the concert could double from 74,000 to 1.5 lakh by the weekend. This means that only about one in three fans interested in attending the concert will be able to snag a ticket.
The odds become even slimmer when factors like multiple account bookings, corporate and VIP reservations, and last-minute scalping are considered. The combined effect of these factors could push the final probability of securing a ticket down to an alarming 22.7%. This translates to approximately one in four and a half fans securing a ticket.
Coldplay last performed in India in 2016 as part of the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai. Fans are eagerly anticipating a spectacular show, complete with lasers, fireworks, and mesmerizing LED displays, where they can belt out fan-favorites like ‘Yellow,’ ‘Fix You,’ and ‘Viva La Vida.’ But the question remains: will the reality of limited tickets dampen the enthusiasm of the eagerly awaiting fans?
