Gaobeidian City in Hebei Province, China, was the stage for the 2024 China•Gaobeidian International Windoor Festival and the 2024 China•Gaobeidian International Green and Healthy Building Conference. This significant event, held from September 20th to 22nd, attracted an impressive gathering of over 20,000 participants, including experts, scholars, industry leaders, and over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 50 countries and regions.
The festival, themed “Strengthening International Cooperation for Green Transition and Advancing the Development of Green Low-Carbon Buildings,” aimed to bring together the global community to address the critical need for sustainable building practices. These solutions addressed crucial challenges related to enhancing living environments, contributing to global climate governance, and achieving energy conservation and emission reduction goals.
A sprawling exhibition area covering 60,000 square meters showcased the latest innovations and advancements in the green and healthy building sector. Over 1,000 enterprises participated in exhibition and sales activities, providing attendees with a comprehensive overview of new products, technologies, materials, applications, and innovations. The exhibition encompassed a diverse range of areas, including an international green and healthy building expo, a showcase of premium green and healthy home designs, and investment promotion meetings for the green and healthy building industry. The aim was to provide comprehensive solutions across the entire value chain of the green and healthy building industry, from planning and design to construction and operations.
The festival served as a platform for promoting business cooperation and technical exchange, fostering high-quality development within the construction sector. Beyond the technical focus, the event also incorporated promotional activities showcasing local specialties, intangible cultural heritage products, and tourism offerings in Baoding, creating vibrant new consumption scenarios.
The inaugural National Green Building Energy-Efficient Window and Door Installation Worker Skills Competition was a highlight of the festival, aimed at identifying and motivating skilled workers within the construction industry. The competition served as a catalyst for innovation and advancements in energy-saving technologies and processes within the sector.
