The political landscape is heating up as the 2024 election approaches, and a new player has entered the game: America PAC, a conservative super PAC backed by Tesla CEO Elon Musk. This PAC, which aims to promote free speech, free markets, and a merit-based society, is making a significant push to support former President Donald Trump and other Republican candidates.
Over the weekend, America PAC launched a new website, empowering supporters to get actively involved in the campaign. The website allows anyone in the US to sign up and be deployed to key states or districts for canvassing. These efforts are focused on battleground states like Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina, as well as competitive districts within typically Democratic strongholds like California and New York.
America PAC, which is now the largest “get out the vote” outside group in the US, was formed earlier this summer and has already amassed hundreds of canvassers. The PAC believes the new website will further enhance their operations in the lead-up to the November election, which is just over six weeks away.
According to filings with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), America PAC has already invested at least $2.4 million in over a dozen key congressional races. The PAC’s launch comes as a recent Fox News poll indicates a tight race between former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. This heightened activity from America PAC suggests a significant effort to mobilize voters and potentially tip the scales in favor of Republican candidates.
