Turkey solidified its position as a leading destination for Indian weddings at the 10th annual International Convention of Wedding Fraternity (ICWF) 2024, held in Jaipur, India, from September 20-22. The event, which attracted over 1,000 wedding industry professionals from around the world, served as a platform to showcase the latest trends in destination weddings.
Turkey’s presence was particularly impactful. The Türkiye Tourism Development and Promotion Agency, joined by 18 Turkish hotels and Destination Management Companies (DMCs), actively promoted the country as the ideal choice for Indian couples seeking a unique and memorable wedding experience. Led by Ms. Çağla Yöntem, MICE Director of the Türkiye Tourism Development and Promotion Agency, the Turkish delegation focused on highlighting the country’s exceptional hospitality, innovative approach, and luxurious accommodations, specifically tailored to cater to the evolving demands of the Indian wedding market.
A dedicated session during the conference showcased Turkey’s stunning wedding venues and expert services through promotional films. The Turkish hoteliers and DMCs took full advantage of networking opportunities with prominent Indian wedding professionals, further solidifying Turkey’s reputation as a premier destination.
As Indian couples increasingly look to Turkey for their wedding celebrations, the country is deepening its connection with the Indian wedding industry.
