Indonesia Gears Up for Mandalika Motorcycle Racing Event with ‘Road to Mandalika’ Initiative

Indonesia is ready to rev its engines for another exciting event in the world-renowned motorcycle racing series. The Mandalika Circuit, a shining star among Indonesia’s Super Priority Destinations, will once again host the prestigious competition, marking the third time it has been chosen for this thrilling spectacle.

To amplify the experience and ensure fans are fully prepared for the event, the Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) has launched the ‘Road to Mandalika’ initiative. This program, developed in collaboration with Wonderful Indonesia co-branding partners across diverse industries, is designed to bring the excitement of the event to life. As part of this initiative, a whopping 108 products from 27 co-branding partners will be offering special promotions. These offers are designed to help fans prepare for the event and ensure they have everything they need for a memorable experience.

Adding to the allure, exclusive discounts will be available on the Blibli platform throughout the campaign. This means that these exciting deals won’t be confined to the Lombok and Mandalika regions, providing tourists and consumers planning to travel during this period access to a wide variety of discounts.

The ‘Road to Mandalika’ initiative underscores Wonderful Indonesia’s dedication to partnering with co-branding partners to make this year’s event unforgettable. Whether you’re planning a trip to Mandalika to witness the adrenaline-pumping action firsthand or prefer to cheer on your favorite riders from home, the ‘Road to Mandalika’ offers something for everyone.

“We believe that Road to Mandalika presents an excellent opportunity for our partners to activate their promotions. The offers provided by our partners are available to everyone, appealing not only to automotive fans but also to the wider community. In addition to Mandalika and Lombok, our partners’ products can be found in Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Bali, which further enriches this special promotion,” remarked Titus Haridjati, the Director of Marketing Communications at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

“On September 29, millions will witness the stunning Mandalika landscape, recognized as a premier destination in Indonesia. The visibility of Indonesia will undoubtedly increase surrounding the events. We aspire for the world to recognize the enthusiasm of stakeholders in Indonesia, including those directly involved in the race and those who are not, as demonstrated by the Wonderful Indonesia co-branding partners,” stated Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Deputy for Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia.

The ‘Road to Mandalika’ initiative stems from the successful Wonderful Indonesia co-branding program. Previous campaigns like Berkah or Belanja Extra Murah (held to welcome Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr), the School Break Campaign, and Pesona Promo Merdeka and PUKIS Kemerdekaan (celebrating Indonesia’s Independence Day) have proven the power of this collaborative approach.

Co-branding is a strategic initiative employed by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to bolster the brand recognition of Wonderful Indonesia through strategic collaborations across various industries. With the ‘Road to Mandalika’ initiative, Indonesia is poised to not only showcase its stunning landscapes and passionate motorsports culture but also highlight the diverse partnerships that contribute to the nation’s vibrant tourism landscape.
