Gucci, under the creative direction of Sabato De Sarno, has launched its latest campaign, “We Will Always Have London.” Featuring the “Gucci Blondie” bag and selections from the Cruise 2025 collection, the campaign embodies a romantic homage to the city that ignited the brand’s founder’s passion. Shot by acclaimed photographer Nan Goldin, the campaign stars Deborah Harry, lead singer of the iconic band Blondie, and cellist and composer Kelsey Lu, capturing the essence of London’s vibrant energy.
The campaign beautifully captures the city’s influence on Gucci’s creative spirit, paying tribute to the brand’s enduring love for London. The city holds a special place in Gucci’s history; it was in London over a century ago that a young Guccio Gucci found inspiration. While working as a porter at the Savoy Hotel, he witnessed the sophistication and elegance of the global elite, an experience that sparked his passion for leather goods and led him to found his namesake brand in 1921. The Cruise 2025 collection and the latest campaign celebrate the enduring connection between Gucci and London.
The “Gucci Blondie” bag, unveiled during the Cruise 2025 collection show, is a reinterpretation of a 1970s style bag. It features a distinctive round emblem, blending elegance and practicality. Crafted from the finest Tuscan leather, the bag develops a unique patina over time. It is available in four sizes: mini, small, medium, and maxi, and comes in a range of materials and colors, including the signature Gucci Rosso Ancora (deep red).
