Quhuo’s Chengtu Home Launches New Platform with Six Functional Room Types

Quhuo Limited (NASDAQ: QH), a leading gig economy platform specializing in local life services in China, is making waves in the homestay industry with its newly launched booking platform under its Chengtu Home division. This innovative platform, named Chengtu, introduces six distinct functional room types, offering guests a wider range of high-quality accommodations and significantly enhancing Chengtu’s operational capabilities.

The platform, launched in September 2024 after a successful internal trial, represents a significant milestone in Chengtu’s journey towards independent operations and optimized user management. Chengtu has been diligently building a comprehensive homestay network, refining its supply chain, and setting higher industry standards. With this new platform, Chengtu aims to empower its partners, expand its customer base, and offer increased value to both hosts and guests.

The rollout of the new platform will occur in three phases. The first phase, which has already been completed, encompassed 2,000 proprietary homestays across 51 cities in China. The next phase will focus on enhancing private user operations and developing a membership system for both hosts and guests. In the final stage, Chengtu plans to open the platform to other domestic homestay operators, providing full operational support to further scale the platform. This phased approach aims to increase efficiency and bring more standardization to the homestay industry.

To cater to diverse user needs, Chengtu has introduced six innovative room types:

The first set of these functional rooms has been piloted in Tianjin, with plans to roll out nationwide. This development expands Chengtu’s product line, enhancing its competitive edge within the homestay sector by providing personalized and specialized accommodations.

With the launch of its new platform, Chengtu is transitioning from simply being a homestay management service provider to becoming a creator of specialized homestay products. This strategic shift grants Chengtu greater autonomy in managing its operations, which will lead to optimized profits. For consumers, Chengtu’s ability to offer its own homestay products directly results in more diverse and personalized services, elevating the overall user experience.

Tong Ji, General Manager of Chengtu, expressed enthusiasm for the platform’s launch, stating, “The launch of our new platform and functional room types is not just an upgrade in service, but also represents our proactive exploration of the future direction of the homestay industry. We will continue driving the industry’s healthy growth through innovation, offering users a refined, top-tier experience.”

Leslie Yu, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Quhuo, highlighted the company’s long-term vision: “This business upgrade reflects Chengtu’s commitment to prioritizing people and families. Through continuous innovation, Chengtu will unlock new opportunities in China’s homestay market and push the industry toward greater standardization and distinction.”

The launch of the new platform marks a significant step forward for both Chengtu and the homestay industry in China. With its focus on innovation, customer experience, and industry standardization, Chengtu is poised to reshape the landscape of homestays and provide travelers with an even more diverse and personalized experience.
