A significant 77% of electricians expressed frustration with EV charger installations, citing skill gaps, unexpected labor costs or extended time on the job (38%), and inadequate manufacturer support (35%) as major hurdles. Despite these challenges, a sense of optimism prevails. A majority (64%) of electricians are confident in their ability to assess EV charger quality, while acknowledging a learning curve for a portion (19%). Furthermore, the rising tide of EV charging is seen as a positive force, with 64% believing it has enhanced job security and created new employment opportunities. Looking ahead, 62% anticipate an increase in demand for qualified electricians within the next 5 to 10 years.
