Thailand Unveils ‘Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges’ to Boost Tourism

Thailand is rolling out the red carpet for tourists with a brand new initiative called ‘Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges,’ running from November 1st to December 16th. This captivating campaign promises to entice visitors with incredible shopping experiences and special tourism services, all aimed at boosting Thailand’s tourism recovery.

The ‘Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges’ project is the brainchild of the Thailand Tourism Authority (TAT) and is a core component of their broader ‘WOW! Thailand Passport Privileges’ campaign. This initiative aims to significantly increase tourism revenue, stimulate economic growth, and solidify Thailand’s position as a leading tourist destination.

To achieve these ambitious goals, the campaign focuses on offering tailored benefits to tourists from key regions, including China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, the UK, the US, Canada, and Europe.

The ‘Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges’ project features four main activities:

*

’Must Do Souvenirs: From Heart to Hands’:

This exciting activity will distribute 10,000 unique souvenirs crafted under the ‘Must-Do in Thailand’ theme to international visitors at Thailand’s key airports: Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, and Phuket. These souvenirs will serve as a tangible reminder of their unforgettable Thai experience.
*

’WOW Thailand: Must Do Package’:

The first 10,000 international visitors who register online for this activity will receive exclusive discounts and offers on a range of services at select venues. This initiative allows visitors to experience the best of Thailand at exceptional value.
*

’WOW Thailand: Lucky Number’:

Every 10,000th visitor, up to the 200,000th, will be treated to a holiday package worth 35,000 Baht. These packages include domestic flights and discounts on hotels, dining, and activities.
*

’WOW Thailand: Big Surprise!’:

One lucky participant will receive a grand prize worth 300,000 Baht by completing a questionnaire and being selected through a random draw. This exciting opportunity adds an extra element of fun and excitement to the campaign.

The ‘Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges’ project extends beyond these four activities. It offers discounts and special deals at over 300 establishments across Thailand, including department stores, shopping centers, credit card companies, airlines, restaurants, accommodations, and health and beauty centers. Tourists simply need to present their passports to enjoy these exclusive privileges.

Among the participating establishments are notable names like Central Sriracha Shopping Mall, Sri Panwa Hotel, Phuket Luxury Pool Villa, Best Western Patong Beach Hotel, InterContinental Bangkok Sukhumvit, Masumi Spa Chiang Mai, Amara Bangkok, and Kacha Resort Koh Chang, offering a diverse range of experiences for every taste.

Airports of Thailand (AoT) is also a strong supporter of this initiative. They have dedicated special areas for the souvenir giveaway booths at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang Airport, and Phuket Airport, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for participating tourists.

The ‘Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges’ project aims to not only attract tourists but also project a positive image of Thailand, boosting the tourism industry and contributing to a sustainable economic recovery. With its carefully curated activities and offers, the campaign is set to increase tourism expenditure and help Thailand achieve its ambitious annual revenue goal of 3.5 trillion Baht.
