Sineng Electric Ships First Power Conversion Systems to the U.S. for 140.8MW Energy Storage Project

Sineng Electric, a prominent player in the global solar and energy storage industry, has taken a significant step forward in its North American expansion. The company has proudly announced its first shipment of Power Conversion Systems (PCS) to the United States, specifically for a substantial 140.8MW/140.8MWh energy storage project located in Texas. This project is a testament to Sineng’s commitment to becoming a key player in the U.S. energy storage market, which is the second largest in the world and presents significant growth potential.

For this project, Sineng Electric is providing 44 units of its 3.2MW String PCS MV Turnkey Station. These units will be incorporated into a standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility in South Texas. The primary purpose of this project is to enhance grid stability through peak shaving and frequency regulation, ensuring a more reliable and efficient energy grid. The first phase of the project, consisting of 22 units, has already been successfully delivered.

The 3.2MW string PCS MV turnkey station, aptly named EH-3200-HA-MR-US-34.5, is a comprehensive system that integrates 16 units of 200kW string PCS (EH-0200-HA-M-US), a low-voltage switchboard, and a pad-mounted transformer. This innovative design allows for rack-level battery management, optimizing charging and discharging capacity and ensuring efficient operation. The 200kW string PCS boasts a maximum efficiency of 99.0% and incorporates advanced H/LVRT and H/LFRT functionalities, guaranteeing superior system performance and reliability.

Sineng Electric has been meticulous in designing its product lineup to meet the stringent standards of the U.S. market. The company further solidified its local presence in September with the inauguration of its North America Service Center. This center will provide timely and localized support to customers, demonstrating Sineng’s commitment to providing exceptional service. Additionally, the recent launch of the 400kW string PCS underscores Sineng’s commitment to continuous innovation and technological advancements.

Gene Yang, CEO of Sineng Electric, emphasized the significance of energy storage in the global energy transition. He stated, “Energy storage is a vital enabler of the global energy transition, facilitating the integration of renewable energy and advancing decarbonization objectives. As energy storage technology evolves rapidly, Sineng Electric remains at the forefront, leveraging our extensive product portfolio, engineering expertise, and efficient delivery capabilities to drive this transformation. This project represents a pivotal moment in our expansion into the U.S. market and beyond, reaffirming our dedication to localizing operations in North America and meeting the growing demand for cutting-edge energy storage solutions.”

With this shipment of PCS, Sineng Electric demonstrates its dedication to supporting the United States’ energy transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable future. The company’s focus on innovation, local presence, and comprehensive solutions positions it as a key player in the rapidly growing energy storage sector.
