Renowned chef Mary Berry has shared a date-free sticky toffee pudding recipe that’s just as satisfying and flavorful.

This all-in-one pudding is surprisingly light and easy to make, according to BBC Good Food. Baked in a large dish, it’s perfect for feeding a crowd or enjoying a generous portion for yourself. For the Sauce:

* 100g butter

* One teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 180C or 160C Fan and butter a shallow 1.7-liter ovenproof dish.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and treacle. Beat for 30 seconds or until well-combined using an electric handheld whisk.
3. Gradually pour in the milk, whisking continuously until the mixture is smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared dish.
4. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the pudding is well-risen and springy to the touch in the center.
