Fokker Services Asia Becomes Embraer Authorized Service Center, Expanding Support Network in Asia Pacific

Fokker Services Asia, a division of Fokker Services Group (FSG), has reached a significant milestone by becoming an Embraer Authorized Service Center. This achievement was officially announced during the 2024 Aviation Week MRO Asia Pacific event in Singapore, following the signing of a contract.

This certification empowers Fokker Services Asia to provide comprehensive maintenance services for Embraer’s first-generation E-Jets, with a particular focus on the E190 aircraft. This strategic partnership not only bolsters FSG’s service offerings in the Asia Pacific region but also reinforces Embraer’s commitment to expanding its support network in this rapidly growing market.

Frank Stevens, Vice President of MRO Services at Embraer Services & Support, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating: “We are very happy to partner with Fokker Services Asia to offer a strategic additional location to our customers. This will potentially provide more capacity, capability and help us to keep expanding Embraer’s Authorized Service Center footprint in Asia-Pacific.”

Leon Kouters, Vice President Sales & Marketing at FSG, echoed the excitement, saying: “We are thrilled to have met all the stringent requirements set forth in the contract and to now be recognized as an Embraer Authorized Service Center.”

Thomas Kennedy, Managing Director of Fokker Services Asia, emphasized the strategic impact of this certification, stating: “this Embraer certification will further enhance Fokker Services Asia by establishing a comprehensive new line of work for Embraer aircraft maintenance in the region. The presence of the first Embraer aircraft from Alliance Airlines (Australia) already in our hangar is a testament to our readiness and commitment.”

The Asia Pacific region boasts a growing fleet of Embraer’s first-generation E-Jets, operated by airlines in countries like Australia, India, Myanmar, Japan, and China. This expanded service center presence provides a crucial support network for these operators, ensuring efficient and reliable maintenance for their aircraft.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward for both Embraer and Fokker Services Asia, demonstrating a shared commitment to providing comprehensive support for the growing aviation industry in the Asia Pacific region.
