These industry veterans have joined as Vice Presidents of Operations, bringing a combined wealth of experience and passion to further enhance the operational performance of GF Hotels & Resorts’ diverse portfolio.
Melinda Capen boasts nearly two decades of experience within the hospitality sector, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to excellence. With a degree in Hotel Management and a proven track record in financial management, operations, and revenue strategies, Capen excels in fostering collaboration among owners, team members, and brand partners. She previously held the position of Vice President of Operations at Aimbridge Hospitality, where she successfully led teams since 2018. Capen’s comprehensive experience across various markets and ownership models makes her a valuable asset to GF Hotels & Resorts as the company continues to expand and evolve. Outside of her professional life, Capen is an avid traveler and enjoys spending time with her husband and pets. Her passion for international travel, the outdoors, and photography, coupled with her active involvement with Habitat for Humanity, reflects her commitment to making a positive impact.
Steve Cadaret also brings a wealth of operational experience to the table, having worked with renowned brands to enhance revenue and improve guest satisfaction. Throughout his career, Cadaret has held key leadership positions, gaining comprehensive knowledge of managing various hotel departments. He is a strong advocate for employee development and has implemented strategies to improve retention and foster a positive work environment. Prior to joining GF Hotels & Resorts, Cadaret served as Regional Vice President of Operations at Aimbridge Hospitality, overseeing operations in Michigan and Illinois. Residing in Lake Orion, MI, Cadaret enjoys spending quality time with his wife, four children, and five grandchildren. His hobbies include beach vacations, pickleball, golfing, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys.
In his new role as Vice President of Operations, Cadaret will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s operational strategies and driving growth initiatives.
