In a significant move to optimize operations and improve service, the Central Railways has revised the timetable for over 80 trains running within its Central Railway (CR) zone. This new timetable will be effective from October 5, 2024 (Saturday), according to ET Now.
The Central Railway consists of five divisions: Mumbai Division, Pune Division, Bhusawal Division, Solapur Division, and Nagpur Division. The revised timetable is expected to impact train services across these divisions, improving efficiency and passenger convenience.
The Indian Express reported that 21 trains that previously originated or terminated at Dadar will now run up to Parel. Additionally, trains that previously originated or terminated at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) will now be shifted to Dadar, aiming to reduce congestion at CSMT.
