Commuters using the Delhi Metro Yellow Line should be prepared for disruptions on Sunday morning, October 6th. The DMRC has announced planned maintenance work at Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station, impacting train services on the line that connects Samaypur Badli and Millennium City Centre Gurugram. The disruptions will continue until 6:40 am.
To accommodate the maintenance work, the DMRC has implemented adjustments to train schedules and station closures. The DMRC advisory for Delhi-NCR commuters states that train services will operate at a frequency of 10 minutes during the maintenance period. After 6:40 am, the regular Sunday timetable will resume.
According to the revised schedule, the first train from Vishwavidyalaya to Millennium City Centre Gurugram will depart at 6:45 am, rather than the usual 6:00 am. Similarly, the first train from Kashmere Gate to Samaypur Badli will leave at 6:52 am instead of 6:00 am.
While the maintenance work takes place, normal train services will continue on the majority of the Yellow Line, including the section from Millennium City Centre Gurugram to Kashmere Gate and Samaypur Badli to Vishwavidyalaya stations. However, it is crucial to note that no train service will be available between Vishwavidyalaya and Kashmere Gate Metro stations during this period.
Furthermore, Vidhan Sabha and Civil Lines stations will remain closed until 6:40 am, when train services resume along the affected route. To minimize inconvenience, DMRC will make announcements at stations and inside trains on the Yellow Line regarding train destinations and platform changes during the maintenance period.
DMRC Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal has assured commuters that the necessary measures are being taken to ensure a smooth transition during this maintenance period.
Commuters are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly and allow extra time for their journeys on Sunday morning, October 6th.
