The skies above Chennai will be ablaze with color and thunderous roars as the Indian Air Force (IAF) hosts its annual airshow on October 8th, 2024, marking the 92nd anniversary of the force. This year’s event promises to be a dazzling spectacle, showcasing the IAF’s cutting-edge aircraft and the exceptional skills of its pilots.
The Marina Beach will serve as the grand stage for this aerial extravaganza. From 11 am to 1 pm, the sky will be filled with the graceful maneuvers of various aircraft, including the indigenous Tejas light combat aircraft and the formidable Sukhoi 30 fighter jet. The event will also feature breathtaking aerobatic displays by the renowned Suryakiran and Sarang teams.
The IAF has pulled out all the stops for this celebration, with a total of 72 aircraft participating in the airshow, originating from Sulur, Thanjavur, Arakkonam, and Bengaluru. These aircraft, ranging from heritage planes like the Dakota and Harvard to modern marvels like the Rafale and C-295, will leave spectators mesmerized.
