Get ready for some electrifying pace as Mayank Yadav is all set to make his T20I debut for India! The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer will be making his international bow in the first match of the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, scheduled for Sunday in Gwalior.
Yadav burst onto the IPL scene in 2024 with his blistering speed and impressive performances. In his IPL debut against Punjab Kings in Lucknow, he rattled the batters with fiery pace, claiming figures of three for 27 in his four overs. His top speed of 155.8 kph was a testament to his raw talent.
In his second match, against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Yadav took things up a notch by delivering a 156.7 kph thunderbolt – the fastest ball of IPL 2024! He finished the match with exceptional figures of three for 14 in his four overs, becoming the first player in IPL history to win Player-of-the-Match awards in each of his first two games.
Unfortunately, in his third match, Yadav bowled only one over before being forced to walk off the field with abdominal pain. This side strain unfortunately ruled him out for the rest of the IPL season.
The selectors will be hoping that Mayank remains injury-free and can continue to build on his impressive start to his professional career. The three-match T20I series against Bangladesh will take place in Gwalior, Delhi, and Hyderabad on October 6, 9, and 12, respectively. Be sure to tune in and witness the rise of this exciting young bowler.
