WNBA star and Rookie of the Year, Caitlin Clark, is ready to take on a new challenge – golf! Known for her passion for the sport, Clark will be participating in the pro-am competition at The Annika Driven by Gainbridge on November 13th at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
Clark, a Gainbridge ambassador, will join professional golfers in a day of friendly competition. Her involvement extends beyond the golf course, as she will also be a panelist at the Women’s Leadership Summit held on November 12th at the tournament site.
Clark expressed her excitement about the opportunity, saying, “I love golf, so the opportunity to play in the pro-am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is so exciting. Gainbridge is a leader in supporting women’s sports, and that’s clear through their commitment to me, this event, Billie Jean King, and Parity Week. I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, and, of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika.”
This year’s tournament, held from November 14th to 17th, marks the second year featuring Annika Sorenstam’s name. The 2023 event was won by Lilia Vu. With Clark’s participation, the pro-am competition promises to be a highlight of the tournament, showcasing her talent and passion for both basketball and golf.
