This year’s list is a carefully curated selection of the top 10 must-visit locations, based on data from American Express® Card Member travel bookings and the expertise of Amex Travel’s global network of Travel Consultants.
Recognizing the growing demand for unique experiences, cultural immersion, and value-driven travel among younger generations, Amex Travel has identified destinations that cater to these preferences. A study conducted by American Express revealed that 72% of Millennial and Gen Z travelers are more likely to book hotels that offer credit card rewards. Furthermore, 70% expressed interest in a credit card with global hotel benefits. In response to this growing demand, American Express Travel has expanded The Hotel Collection program to cater specifically to this demographic. This year, the program has increased its footprint by 40%, adding over 1,000 hotels and expanding into 50 new destinations.
The Hotel Collection features upscale properties located near city centers, tourist attractions, and vibrant nightlife scenes, providing travelers with luxurious experiences at exceptional value. Gold and Platinum Card® Members enjoy exclusive benefits when booking two or more nights at The Hotel Collection properties through Amex Travel. These benefits include a complimentary room upgrade upon arrival, early check-in at 12:00 P.M., and late check-out up to 4:00 P.M., subject to availability. Additionally, Card Members receive a $100 credit to use toward eligible on-property charges, such as dining, spa treatments, or other experiences (benefits vary by property).
