NVIDIA Showcases LEGO-Powered PC Build & New DLSS Games

NVIDIA’s weekly DLSS update is bringing a wave of new releases with support for its cutting-edge DLSS, Frame Generation, and ray-tracing technologies. This week’s showcase includes titles like FragPunk, the Silent Hill 2 remake, and Starship Troopers: Extermination. However, what truly caught everyone’s eye was a jaw-dropping PC build created by modder czuga. Inspired by Fortnite’s LEGO modes, the build is a testament to creativity and ingenuity. Over 1,000 LEGO bricks form the foundation for all components, including the impressive GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Founders Edition graphics card and a custom water cooling system. The build isn’t just about technical prowess; it’s an artistic masterpiece featuring a complete LEGO Fortnite scene. Characters, biomes, and even the iconic Fortnite bus are meticulously recreated. It’s a stunning one-of-a-kind build that took countless hours to design and nearly two weeks to build, test, and decorate. The fact that it utilizes LEGO for both the case and hardware support is truly awe-inspiring.

This week’s big DLSS title is FragPunk, a fast-paced 5v5 hero shooter developed by Bad Guitar Studio. FragPunk incorporates a unique card system that can dramatically change the rules of engagement, making for a truly dynamic gameplay experience. The developers tout a thrilling, fast-paced experience with each round lasting approximately 2.5 minutes, setting it apart from other hero shooters like Overwatch. FragPunk offers GeForce RTX gamers a suite of ray-tracing effects including ray-traced transparent reflections, ray-traced opaque reflections, ray-traced ambient occlusion, and ray-traced shadows. Naturally, DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation, and NVIDIA Reflex are also included to enhance performance and reduce latency. NVIDIA’s internal benchmarks demonstrate a significant performance boost across various resolutions, with an average increase of 2.8X at 4K, 2X at 1440p, and 1.9X at 1080p. Even GeForce RTX 4070 and higher GPUs can achieve over 100 FPS in 4K with ray-tracing enabled, while all GPUs experience triple-digit performance at 1440p and 1080p.

Joining the DLSS lineup this week is the highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 remake from Bloober Team and Konami, delivering a chilling experience with DLSS Super Resolution support. Sirio Games’ fast-paced third-person shooter Simulakros also boasts DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation support, promising smooth and visually stunning gameplay. Rounding out the list is the Early Access release of Starship Troopers: Extermination, bringing intense action with DLSS 3 support.

NVIDIA continues to expand its DLSS ecosystem, bringing immersive and performance-enhancing technologies to a wider range of games. With a focus on pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in PC gaming, NVIDIA is making sure gamers can enjoy their favorite titles with the highest fidelity and smoothest performance. The LEGO-powered PC build is just one example of the incredible creativity within the PC gaming community and a testament to the power of NVIDIA’s technology.
