This public display of the Cybertruck at a Trump family event comes at a time when the relationship between Musk and Trump has been growing increasingly close. Musk publicly endorsed Trump for President in July, following a shooting incident at a rally in Pennsylvania. He has since attended a Trump campaign event in Pennsylvania and described the upcoming election as a “must-win situation” for Trump.
Musk is reportedly planning further campaigning for Trump in Pennsylvania, according to a source familiar with the effort. Meanwhile, Trump has expressed his intention to create a government efficiency commission led by Musk if he is re-elected. This commission would be tasked with auditing the federal government and suggesting reforms.
