Bryan Mbeumo, who has been in excellent form for Brentford in the Premier League, carried his form onto the international stage, scoring for Cameroon in their 4-1 win over Kenya. South Africa recorded the joint second-biggest win in their history, thumping Congo 5-0 to continue their impressive run under coach Hugo Broos. Uganda, meanwhile, maintained their lead in Group B with a 1-0 win over South Sudan.
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers are heating up, with several teams vying for a place in the 24-team tournament. The top two teams in each pool will advance to the finals, which will be held in Morocco next year.
