Tourism Malaysia Appoints New Director for Singapore, Aiming to Strengthen Ties

Tourism Malaysia has welcomed Mdm. Norliza Md Zain as the new Director of Tourism Malaysia, Singapore. She officially assumed the position on October 14, 2024, succeeding Mr. Salahuddin Mohd Ariffin whose tenure concluded last year.

Mdm. Norliza brings a wealth of experience to the role, having dedicated 19 years to Tourism Malaysia. Her journey with the organization has seen her take on a variety of crucial positions, including a role in the Production Division, oversight of the Shopping Secretariat Malaysia, and leading the Lifestyle Unit within the Package Development Division. She has also contributed significantly to both the Advertising and International Marketing Divisions.

One of Mdm. Norliza’s notable achievements was her instrumental role in establishing a branch office in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This experience has equipped her with a deep understanding of navigating international markets, making her ideally suited to her new role in Singapore.

Expressing her gratitude for the opportunity, Mdm. Norliza shared her enthusiasm and honor in promoting Malaysia to the Singapore market. She emphasized her commitment to bolstering tourism collaborations between the two nations for mutual benefit.
