Central Railways Announces Special Trains for Diwali & Chhath Puja Travel Rush

With the festive season of Diwali and Chhath Puja fast approaching, Central Railways has announced special train services to accommodate the expected travel surge. These trains will offer convenient connectivity for those traveling to various parts of India, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free journey.

Special Trains for Diwali and Chhath Puja:

The Central Railways has introduced 24 special trains running between Panvel and Hazur Sahib Nanded to cater to the festive rush. These trains will operate on specific days between October 21st and November 28th.

Train 07626:

Departing from Panvel at 2:30 pm every Tuesday and Thursday from October 22nd to November 28th, this train will reach Hazur Sahib Nanded at 4:30 am the next day.

Train 07625:

Leaving Hazur Sahib Nanded at 11 pm every Monday and Wednesday from October 21st to November 27th, this train will arrive in Panvel at 1:25 pm the next day. Both trains will make stops at Parbhani, Nashik Road, Purna, Lasur, Manwat, Igatpuri, Jalna, Kalyan, Selu, Aurangabad, Rotegaon, Partur, Nagarsol, and Manmad.

Additional Train Services:

To further facilitate travel during the festive season, Central Railways has also announced additional trains connecting Mumbai to destinations like Prayagraj, Samastipur, and Gorakhpur. These trains are expected to be highly popular, and passengers are advised to book their tickets well in advance.

How to Book Special Train Tickets:

Passengers can book tickets for Train No. 07626 at special fares through the official IRCTC website, www.irctc.co.in. Bookings commenced on October 14th. The IRCTC app is another convenient option for booking tickets. Tatkal bookings are also available for a short duration, with limited seats. Given the high demand during the festive season, it’s essential to book tickets early to avoid disappointment.

Diwali & Chhath Puja Dates:

Diwali, also known as Deepavali, will commence on November 1st, 2024, with Dhanteras, followed by Bhai Dooj. Chhath Puja, a four-day festival dedicated to the Sun God and Chhathi Maiyya, will begin on November 5th, 2024.

Central Railways’ initiative to provide special train services during Diwali and Chhath Puja is a welcome move, offering travelers a comfortable and convenient way to celebrate these important festivals with their loved ones.
