## GreenPower Delivers Electric School Buses in Arizona, California, and West Virginia: Expanding Zero-Emission Fleet

GreenPower Motor Company Inc. (NASDAQ: GP) (TSXV: GPV), a leading manufacturer of all-electric, zero-emission vehicles, is expanding its presence in the school bus market. The company has delivered four purpose-built, all-electric school buses in Arizona, California, and West Virginia in the first half of October, further demonstrating the growing demand for sustainable transportation solutions in the education sector.

In West Virginia, GreenPower delivered the first of 37 BEAST school buses ordered by the state to the Wyoming County School District. This delivery marks a significant step towards the state’s goal of transitioning to a cleaner transportation system. The Wyoming County School District is already familiar with GreenPower vehicles, having successfully operated a Type A Nano BEAST Access for some time. This positive experience has led them to embrace the larger Type D BEAST, with Superintendent John Henry expressing excitement for the clean and modern ride it will offer students.

Three additional BEAST buses are slated for delivery in West Virginia within the next month, destined for the Monongalia County School District. This district currently operates a fleet of GreenPower vehicles, including a Nano BEAST, a Nano BEAST Access, and a BEAST, showcasing its commitment to sustainable transportation.

Meanwhile, GreenPower’s dealer, RWC Group, delivered a Type A Nano BEAST to the Joseph City School District in Arizona, while Model 1, another dealer, delivered two BEAST buses to the Garden Grove Unified School District in California. Garden Grove already utilizes four BEAST buses on its routes and is set to receive two more by the end of October. Additionally, a BEAST is expected to be delivered to the Brawley Elementary School District this month.

These recent deliveries underscore the strong demand for GreenPower’s school bus products. The company currently boasts 126 live orders, representing over $45 million in business. Furthermore, GreenPower has quoted new orders for more than 180 school buses, indicating a robust pipeline and promising future growth prospects.

GreenPower’s BEAST is a 40-foot Type D school bus designed from the ground up for optimal performance and safety. Its all-electric, zero-emission design features a unified structure with a seamless aluminum body and a high-strength steel chassis. The flat floor design ensures easy access and mobility, while the high floor positioning prioritizes student safety by keeping them out of the crash zone. The BEAST also boasts dual port charging, supporting both Level 2 and DC Fast Charging rates, offering flexibility and convenience for recharging.

GreenPower’s Nano BEAST, a Type A school bus, is a compact yet efficient vehicle with a standard 118 kWh battery pack and a range of up to 140 miles. It is designed for up to 24 passengers and features a similar integrated aluminum body and dual port charging capabilities.

Both the Type D BEAST and Type A Nano BEAST are eligible for California HVIP vouchers and qualify for grants under the California Zero-Emission School Bus and Infrastructure (ZESBI) program. The ZESBI program offers substantial funding for zero-emission school buses and associated charging infrastructure, with a total of $500 million allocated for Fiscal Year 2023-24. This significant investment reflects California’s commitment to promoting clean transportation and reducing emissions in the education sector.

GreenPower’s all-electric school buses are also eligible for federal Clean School Bus Program funds, with the current rebate program round offering $965 million. This funding further highlights the government’s support for transitioning to zero-emission school buses nationwide.

GreenPower’s commitment to developing and delivering innovative, sustainable transportation solutions is clearly evident in its expanding market presence and the increasing demand for its electric school buses. As the company continues to make strides in this crucial sector, it positions itself at the forefront of the clean transportation revolution, paving the way for a greener and more sustainable future for education and transportation.
