## Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Box Office: Rajkummar Rao’s Comedy Film Set to Break Even

Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s hilarious comedy film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ is on a roll! The film, which released alongside Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra’ on October 11th, is set to break even after a successful six-day run in theaters. This achievement is particularly notable considering the film was made on an estimated budget of ₹ 25.26 crore and has already raked in a net of ₹ 25.11 crore.

While the film did witness a 13.81% dip in its box office collection on its sixth day, it continues to outperform ‘Jigra’. On October 16th, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ minted ₹ 1.81 crore net with an overall 9.74% Hindi occupancy, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Despite a steady decline in its collection over the past four days, the film’s strong opening performance has kept it ahead in the race.

Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ boasts an impressive cast that includes Mallika Sherawat, Vijay Raaz, Tiku Talsania, and Archana Puran Singh, alongside its lead actors. The film’s story revolves around the search for a missing ‘suhagraat CD’ and follows the hilarious journey of Vicky (Rajkummar) and Vidya (Triptii) as they navigate the scenic backdrop of Rishikesh.

‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ kicked off its box office journey with a strong opening weekend. The film garnered a cumulative net India earning of ₹ 5.5 crore on its release day, which swelled to ₹ 6.9 crore the following day. While its first Sunday saw a slight drop to ₹ 6.4 crore, it still surpassed its debut day’s collection, bringing the total first weekend collection to ₹ 13.3 crore net.

Despite its box office success, the film found itself entangled in controversy for using characters and dialogue from Maddock Films’ franchise ‘Stree’ without authorization. Director Raaj Shaandilyaa addressed the issue on X, stating: “I Raaj Shaandilyaa the director of the film “Vicky Vidya ka Woh Wala Video” on behalf of myself and on behalf of Super Cassettes Ind. Pvt. Ltd., Balaji Motion Pictures and Wakaoo Films, the producers of the film, extend our sincere and unconditional apology for the unauthorised use of character and dialogue from Maddock Films’ franchise “Stree” in our film [sic].”

With its entertaining plot and engaging performances, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ is proving to be a crowd-pleaser. The film’s strong box office performance and positive reviews suggest a successful run ahead, further cementing its position as a notable Bollywood release.
