10-Year-Old ‘Bal Sant’ Receives Death Threats from Jailed Lawrence Bishnoi Gang: Family

The family of Abhinav Arora, a 10-year-old self-proclaimed ‘Bal Sant’ and devotee of Krishna, has alleged that they received life threats from the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, currently incarcerated. The threats were delivered through a phone call and message, leaving the family terrified.

Abhinav’s mother, Jyoti, told news agency ANI, “We received a call message from the Lawrence Bishnoi group today where we were being threatened that Abhinav would be killed. Last night, we got a call that I missed. We received a message from the same number today that they would kill Abhinav…”

She expressed confusion and disbelief, stating that her son has not done anything to warrant such threats. “We receive calls [where the caller says] that we will kill your child, chop off your child… they use abusive language,” she added.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has a history of violence and intimidation. They were previously accused of issuing death threats to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Bihar MP Pappu Yadav. A member of the gang also claimed responsibility for the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique.

Abhinav Arora’s name gained national attention after a video surfaced online where Swami Rambhadracharya, a renowned Hindu ascetic, publicly reprimanded the young ‘bal sant’ for his behavior at a religious event. Swami Rambhadracharya, known for his strict adherence to tradition, called Arora a fool and questioned his claims of having Lord Krishna as a study partner.

Abhinav Arora, however, defended himself, stating that the video was from an event in Vrindavan and that the incident took place in 2023. He further claimed that Swami Rambhadracharya had later blessed him in his room.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of young religious figures, especially those who are thrust into the public eye at a tender age. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s alleged threats highlight the dangers associated with organized crime and the potential for violence to spill over into even seemingly unrelated domains.
