TALKE Successfully Trials Hyzon’s 200kW Fuel Cell Electric Truck for Drayage Operations, Moving Towards Zero-Emission Future

## TALKE Embraces a Greener Future with Successful Hyzon Fuel Cell Truck Trial

TALKE, a global leader in logistics solutions for the chemical industry, has taken a significant step towards its commitment to zero-emission transportation. The company recently completed a successful two-week trial of Hyzon’s Class 8 200kW Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) truck, putting it through its paces during drayage operations at TALKE USA in Houston.

This trial builds upon the success of a previous 110kW FCEV trial conducted by TALKE two years ago, showcasing the company’s dedication to exploring and adopting cutting-edge sustainable technologies. The new 200kW FCEV impressed with its smooth, dynamic, and impressively quiet operation, effortlessly hauling containers.

“This trial is a key part of TALKE’s preparations for zero-emission operations and aligns with our ongoing commitment to our global ESG program, #CraftingResponsibleLogistics,” remarked Richard Heath, TALKE President and CEO.

The trial’s positive outcome is a testament to the growing maturity of FCEV technology, particularly for heavy-duty applications. One of TALKE’s experienced drivers, Timothy (Tim) Rivon, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “I’ve been driving my whole life, even came out of retirement because I love it. Change can be tough, but you can’t beat the quieter ride and how smooth it drives.”

This successful trial is not just a benchmark for TALKE’s sustainability journey; it also reflects the company’s preparation for potential deployment of a larger fleet of FCEVs. TALKE is actively evaluating various grant funding programs, including those focused on the adoption of zero-emission vehicles, and Hyzon’s Class 8 200kW FCEVs are being considered alongside competitor models.

“The success of this trial with TALKE aligns with the strong results we’ve seen across the seven other trials of our Class 8 200kW Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) truck,” stated Hyzon Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Parker Meeks. “These consistent outcomes reinforce our confidence as we move toward full commercial activation, marking an exciting step forward in deploying hydrogen fuel cell solutions at scale.”

This collaboration between TALKE and Hyzon is a prime example of industry leaders working together to accelerate the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future. As TALKE continues its commitment to environmentally responsible logistics, the successful trial of Hyzon’s FCEV truck paves the way for a larger-scale deployment of zero-emission technology, setting a new standard for the industry.
