Eco-Products Unveils Veda: Durable and Reusable Foodservice Containers
Eco-Products, a pioneer in sustainable foodservice packaging, is introducing a new line of reusable containers called Veda. These containers are designed for closed-system foodservice environments such as universities, corporate campuses, military bases, and hospitals, aiming to provide a practical and environmentally friendly solution for food waste reduction.
The Veda containers are the result of a collaboration between Eco-Products and OZZI, a leading reusable systems and container brand. The collaboration was made possible by Novolex, the parent company of Eco-Products, which made a strategic investment in OZZI in April 2024.
Veda: A Simple and Effective Reusable System
The Veda containers are designed for ease of use. Customers can purchase the containers through a one-time purchase, deposit system, or as part of a dining services program. They can then enjoy their meals on-site or take them to go. When finished, the customer simply returns the container to an OZZI collection machine. The machine scans the container and stores it, allowing the customer to receive a token or credit for their next container or a refund of their deposit.
Streamlined Integration with Campus Meal Plan Systems
The OZZI system operates independently, but it can also be integrated into popular campus meal plan systems such as CBORD, Atrium, and Transact. This integration ensures a seamless experience for students and staff while promoting sustainable practices.
Variety of Sizes and NSF Certification
The Veda containers come in a range of sizes, including 8×8, 9×9, 9×6, and 5×5 inches, with options for one or three compartments for added versatility. These containers are NSF Certified, meeting food protection and sanitation standards, and Ecolab Ware tested for up to 1,000 washes, guaranteeing durability and hygiene.
