Jenna Wang, now 59, has spoken out about her relationship with Walz, claiming it was a passionate affair that began while he was teaching English in Foshan, Guangdong province, China. Wang described Walz as charming and attentive, stating, “Tim was very handsome. I loved his eyes and his big mouth. We talked afterwards and he was very complimentary about my English.” She recalled Walz showering her with gifts and keeping their romance private. “Tim was very passionate and very romantic. I can still remember dancing with him to our favourite song, Careless whispers,” Wang shared.
Their love story, however, took a devastating turn. Wang revealed that after Walz returned to Nebraska, he continued to write her letters, detailing his life and teaching experiences. She shared personal information and a passport photo with him, believing he would help her obtain a visa to join him in the United States. In 1992, she even resigned from her teaching job, convinced that she would start a new life with Walz.
