The Malayalam film industry is mourning the loss of renowned film editor Nishadh Yusuf, who was found dead in his apartment in Panampilly Nagar, Kerala, in the early hours of Wednesday. Yusuf, a highly respected figure in the industry, had made significant contributions to numerous critically acclaimed Malayalam films. His notable works include the recent box office hit ‘Thallumaala’, ‘Chaaver’, ‘Unda’, ‘Saudi Vellakka’, ‘One’, ‘Operation Java’, ‘Bazooka’, and ‘Kanguva’. He was awarded the prestigious Kerala State Film Award for Best Editor in 2022 for his exceptional work on ‘Thallumaala’.
His talent was also recognized in the upcoming releases ‘Bazooka’, starring the veteran actor Mammootty, and the Tamil film ‘Kanguva’ featuring Suriya, both of which he had edited.
