Vizsla Copper Uncovers Promising Copper-Gold Anomaly at Woodjam Project in British Columbia

## Vizsla Copper Strikes Gold (and Copper) in British Columbia’s Woodjam Project

Vancouver-based Vizsla Copper Corp. (VCU:VFF) has announced a major discovery at its Woodjam project in central British Columbia, sending ripples through the mining community. The company’s recent direct current induced polarization (DCIP) survey has uncovered a significant chargeability-high anomaly within the Great Plains target area – a potential game-changer for Vizsla Copper.

The Great Plains target area is situated in a region geologically similar to the Southeast deposit, already known to hold a substantial historical inferred mineral resource estimate of 221.7 million tonnes grading 0.31% copper and 0.05 g/t gold. This exciting discovery adds weight to the already promising prospects of the Woodjam project.

The DCIP Survey: Uncovering Hidden Potential

The 2024 Great Plains reconnaissance DCIP survey, covering 17 line-kms across six survey lines, was designed to detect and characterize sulphide mineralization, a common feature in porphyry-related mineral systems. This survey extended the existing IP coverage at Woodjam by 3 km to the south, revealing previously unexplored areas.

The DCIP survey effectively identified a broad (at least 2km x 2km) chargeability-high anomaly. The size and intensity of this anomaly mirror other anomalies associated with known porphyry-related copper and gold systems at Woodjam, including the Southeast deposit. This similarity is a strong indicator of potentially significant mineralization.

Next Steps: A Path to Potential Discovery

The discovery of this promising anomaly has dramatically elevated the target ranking of the Great Plains area within the Woodjam project. The company is now gearing up for follow-up ground work, which may include soil and till geochemical surveys, along with infill DCIP surveying. These activities pave the way for potential drill testing in 2025.

Vizsla Copper: A Growing Force in the Mining Sector

Vizsla Copper, a spin-out of Vizsla Silver, is establishing itself as a significant player in the copper and gold exploration and development space. The company’s growth strategy centers around exploring and developing its copper properties within its portfolio, including the Woodjam project, Poplar, Copperview, and Redgold. With a focus on responsible exploration and development, Vizsla Copper is poised for continued success in the stable mining jurisdiction of British Columbia.

The discovery at the Great Plains target area represents a significant milestone for Vizsla Copper, demonstrating the company’s commitment to exploring and unlocking the potential of its assets. As the company moves forward with its exploration plans, investors will be closely watching the development of the Woodjam project and the potential impact of this exciting discovery on the future of Vizsla Copper.
