## VinFast Partners with Durango Drivers’ Union to Electrify Public Transportation in Mexico
In a significant move towards sustainable transportation, Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has partnered with the Durango Drivers’ Union in Mexico. The two entities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the green transition of public transportation in Durango City. This partnership could see the Union acquire up to 3,000 VinFast VF 5 electric cars and 300 electric buses, replacing their current fleet of gasoline-powered vehicles.
The agreement marks a significant step towards a greener future for Durango’s transportation system. By replacing gasoline vehicles with electric ones, the Union aims to significantly reduce CO2 emissions, improve air quality, and contribute to a more sustainable environment. The collaboration also extends beyond vehicle acquisition, encompassing the development of a robust charging infrastructure network for electric vehicles and buses in Durango. This network will be essential for facilitating the widespread adoption of electric transportation and ensuring the convenience of both personal and public transport users.
