The tech world is buzzing with rumors of a thin-is-in battle brewing between Samsung and Apple. While Apple is rumored to be unveiling an ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air in 2025, Samsung might be throwing its hat in the ring with a rumored Galaxy S25 Slim.
Korean leaker “yeux1122” recently shared a blog post suggesting that Samsung could be launching the Galaxy S25 Slim in April 2025. This comes just a few weeks after TheElec reported that Samsung was considering a slim Galaxy S25 model. The name “Galaxy S25 Slim” feels like a natural fit, doesn’t it?
If true, Samsung’s move would mirror their strategy with foldable phones. They beat Apple to the punch with the Galaxy Fold, and then followed up with the Galaxy Z Flip line. Apple, meanwhile, still hasn’t released a foldable iPhone.
With the rumored arrival of both the iPhone 17 Air and the Galaxy S25 Slim, the competition for the thinnest smartphone in 2025 is likely to be fierce. This could mark a new chapter in the ongoing battle between Samsung and Apple for smartphone supremacy.
Besides the Galaxy S25 Slim, Samsung is expected to unveil three other Galaxy S25 models in mid-January: the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. The S25 Ultra is rumored to have a slightly tweaked design, featuring curved corners instead of rectangular ones. All models are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
The race for the sleekest smartphone in 2025 is just beginning, and the competition is heating up. Will Samsung be able to outmaneuver Apple again? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: the quest for the thinnest, most stylish phone is far from over.
