In a heartwarming display of quick thinking and courage, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and Karimnagar MP, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, played a crucial role in rescuing a woman trapped under a truck in Telangana. The incident occurred on the outskirts of the Singapura region near the Huzurabad area.
According to the Huzurabad Assistant Commissioner of Police Srinivasji, a truck from Karimnagar was en route to Huzurabad when a motorcycle rider, traveling alongside, lost control, causing the pillion rider to fall and become trapped under the vehicle near Singapoor Village, about 25 kilometers from Karimnagar. The woman’s hair became entangled in a rod beneath the moving truck, adding to the urgency of the situation.
Fortunately, the truck driver immediately halted the vehicle upon hearing the cries for help. However, the woman was bleeding, and the immediate threat of being crushed by the truck’s wheels loomed large.
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who happened to be en route to Huzurabad Mandal, witnessed the distressing scene. He was traveling in the opposite direction towards Mulugu but without hesitation, he stopped his journey to assist. Demonstrating remarkable leadership, he not only halted traffic at the accident site but also directed locals to help free the woman. He guided them to carefully cut her hair to free her from the undercarriage of the truck.
The incident was captured on video, showcasing the Union Minister’s direct involvement in the rescue effort. He ensured that the woman, identified as Divyasree, a resident of Kalleda village in Manakondur Mandal, received immediate medical attention. She was transported to Life Line Private Hospital in Karimnagar.
Beyond the rescue, Bandi Sanjay Kumar took the responsibility of covering the woman’s medical expenses, demonstrating a commitment to her well-being beyond the immediate crisis. This act of compassion and decisive action reflects a strong sense of duty and a dedication to helping those in need.
