Chaos erupted in the streets of Jalalabad, Uttar Pradesh, as a rogue bull went on a rampage, injuring 15 people in a terrifying incident that was captured on video. The bull, seemingly agitated and unpredictable, charged through the town, its horns causing significant injuries to several unsuspecting victims. The harrowing footage shows the bull aggressively targeting individuals, tossing them to the ground with its powerful attacks. One eyewitness account describes the bull initially targeting a man caught in the middle of busy traffic. The animal struck him from behind, sending him tumbling to the ground. Before he could recover, the bull attacked again, injuring his eye. This brutal attack sparked panic, as the bull continued its rampage through the streets, inflicting injuries upon a total of 15 people.
Local residents were understandably terrified by the unpredictable nature of the animal’s behaviour. The incident highlights a growing concern regarding the increasing number of stray animals roaming freely in the area, posing a significant threat to public safety. Upon being notified, officials from the Jalalabad Municipal Council responded swiftly, attempting to capture the bull using various methods. However, the animal proved incredibly elusive, managing to escape multiple attempts to corral it. The capture operation lasted for approximately three hours before the bull was finally apprehended.
This incident is not an isolated case. Earlier this month, a similar tragedy unfolded in the Gauriganj area of Amethi district, Uttar Pradesh. A 65-year-old man, Ram Manohar, lost his life after being attacked by a stray bull while returning home from his field. The bull reportedly attacked Mr. Manohar from behind, inflicting fatal injuries. He was rushed to the district hospital, but tragically, doctors were unable to save him. Adding to the tragedy, a local resident, Rita, reported that this same bull had attacked several people in the recent past, including her own son, who suffered serious injuries. She expressed profound frustration at the lack of action taken by authorities despite repeated calls for intervention.
These incidents underscore the urgent need for stricter measures to manage stray animal populations and prevent further attacks. The authorities must address the root causes of this problem and implement effective strategies to safeguard the public and prevent future tragedies. The events in Jalalabad and Amethi serve as stark reminders of the potential dangers posed by uncontrolled stray animal populations and the crucial need for comprehensive solutions.
