In a nostalgic resurgence, Bollywood icon Aamir Khan has released a modern interpretation of his timeless song ‘Papa Kehte Hain’ from the 1988 classic ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.’ The revamped version, aptly titled ‘Papa Kehte Hain 2.0,’ features prominently in the highly anticipated film ‘Srikanth,’ starring Rajkummar Rao.
During a special event, Khan reminisced about the enduring legacy of ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak,’ which marked the cinematic debuts of not only himself but also his co-star Juhi Chawla, director Mansoor Khan, music directors Anand-Milind, and singers Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Khan candidly admitted to feeling a sense of self-criticism upon initially viewing the film. However, its release marked a pivotal moment, forever etched in Indian cinema history.
