AAR CORP, a prominent provider of aviation services to commercial and government entities, has secured a significant five-year contract from the U.S. Navy. This contract, valued at approximately $1.2 billion, will see AAR perform depot airframe maintenance and field team support for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft, a critical asset for the U.S. Navy, the Australian government, and foreign military sales customers.
This contract represents a continuation of AAR’s strategic partnership with the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). AAR will deliver a comprehensive range of services, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, in-service repairs, technical directive incorporation, airframe modifications, and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) support. This reinforces AAR’s position as a leading provider of commercial derivative airframe maintenance for the U.S. Department of Defense.
The P-8A Poseidon is a critical component of the Navy’s maritime patrol and reconnaissance capabilities, and AAR’s expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the fleet’s readiness.
“AAR is delighted to continue our long-standing collaboration with NAVAIR and honored to be the primary provider supporting this crucial fleet,” stated Nicholas Gross, AAR’s Senior Vice President of Integrated Solutions. “Our rapidly deployable teams provide on-demand expertise anywhere in the world.”
