Indian squash star Abhay Singh has made a strong showing at the Asian Doubles Squash Championships in Johor, Malaysia, securing a spot in two semifinals.

On Friday, Singh partnered with the experienced Joshna Chinappa to secure their place in the mixed doubles last-four. The duo displayed impressive teamwork and strategy, securing victories over various opponents.

Singh also teamed up with National champion Velavan Senthilkumar in the men’s doubles. The pair topped their group stage, showcasing their dominance and tactical prowess. This win marked their advancement closer to the final stages of the competition.

Singh and Senthilkumar emerged victorious in their matches against Hafiz Zhafri / Duncan Lee (Malaysia) and Lau Tsz Kwan / Chung Yat Lung (Hong Kong). Their impressive performance throughout the group stage solidified their position as strong contenders for the title.

Meanwhile, in the women’s doubles, the pair of Rathika and Pooja faced a tough challenge, ultimately falling to Ainaa Amani / Chan Yiwen (Malaysia). However, they bounced back with a decisive win over Lee Zi Fang / Gracia Chua Rui En (Singapore).

Singh and Chinappa also secured a win over Syafiq Kamal / Aira Azman (Malaysia) in their mixed doubles match. However, they narrowly lost their final group stage match to Ong Sai Hung / Rachel Arnold (Malaysia).

Abhay Singh’s consistent performance in both the men’s and mixed doubles events has demonstrated his exceptional talent and skill.
