Indian golfer Aditi Ashok’s hopes of a strong finish at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open were dashed after a disappointing second round. She carded a 3-over 75, following a first-round 81, leading to an early exit from the event. This marks the sixth time in eight starts since 2017 that Aditi has missed the cut at the Scottish Open, her best finish being a T-55 in 2023. Despite the setback, she is set to compete in the AIG Women’s Open next week at St. Andrews.
At the top of the leaderboard, Australian golfer Minjee Lee and American Megan Khang share the lead on eight-under-par after the second round. They are now poised to challenge for the title at the tournament, which serves as a prelude to the prestigious AIG Women’s Open.
Meanwhile, Anirban Lahiri finished his opening round of the Liv Golf Greenbrier with an even par 70, placing him tied 38th in a field of 54. Lahiri had one bogey and one birdie on the day. The first-round lead is currently shared by Talor Gooch, Jason Kokrak, and Sebastián Muñoz, who all shot a bogey-free 7-under 63. Brooks Koepka is in a five-way tie for fourth after his 64, just one stroke back.
In the Zambia Golf Legends Championship, Indian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh opened with an even par 72, placing him tied 19th. Playing in windy conditions at the Bonanza Golf Club, Jeev had one birdie and one bogey in his first six holes.
The Czech Masters saw David Ravetto take the lead after a sizzling 9-under 63 round on Saturday. The Frenchman tied the course record, which was set earlier in the day by Andrew Johnston. India’s Om Prakash Chouhan, playing his first season on the DP World Tour, missed the cut after rounds of 74-72. This continues a season of learning for Chouhan, who has struggled to find consistency on the main tour.
