MalaMala Game Reserve, known for its abundant wildlife, is the first private game reserve in South Africa. It shares an unfenced boundary with the Kruger National Park and is situated near the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve. The reserve boasts four prides and three male coalitions, showcasing the diverse lion population that calls this area home.
Each pride comprises approximately two to thirty related females and cubs, while male lions maintain their own territories. Within these territories, three female prides typically reside. Some of the prides often seen in the reserve include Kambula, Eyrefield, Torchwood, Marthly, Styx, and Fourways.
