Newey is widely regarded as one of the greatest technical minds in Formula One history, and his designs have consistently produced some of the fastest and most successful cars on the grid. However, it is believed that he has grown frustrated with the internal politics at Red Bull this season, and he is now looking for a new challenge.
Ferrari is said to be the frontrunner to sign Newey, with the Italian team keen to add his expertise to their bid to dethrone Red Bull and Mercedes at the top of the Formula One standings.
