AFL player movement is heating up as clubs jockey for the services of some of the game’s top stars.
West Coast’s Elliot Yeo is one player attracting plenty of attention after regaining his best form despite persistent injuries. The 30-year-old is reportedly being strongly pursued by other clubs, including Geelong and Essendon, who expressed interest last season. Yeo has played in all six of West Coast’s games this season, averaging 26.2 disposals per game.
Brisbane midfielder Hugh McCluggage is another player in high demand. The Lions have reportedly offered McCluggage a six-year deal that would keep him at Springfield until at least 2030. McCluggage has been one of the most consistent midfielders in the AFL, averaging a career-high 25.8 disposals per game this season.
Geelong defender Jack Henry is also set to sign a new deal with the Cats. The 25-year-old has reportedly agreed to a minimum four-year contract, ending speculation that he would test the free agency market. Henry has been a key part of Geelong’s success in recent years, including their 2022 premiership triumph.
