Air China Partners with New Terminal One at JFK for Enhanced Chinese Traveler Experience

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion JFK Airport redevelopment project is bringing a dedicated international terminal, The New Terminal One, scheduled to open in 2026. This new terminal will be a focal point for Chinese travelers, with Air China joining forces to offer an exceptional travel experience.

Jennifer Aument, CEO of The New Terminal One at JFK, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are honored to partner with Air China to deliver an exceptional travel experience for Chinese visitors to New York. Our focus on the Asia Pacific region reflects our commitment to becoming the preferred international gateway for Chinese travelers.”

Echoing this sentiment, Zhiyong Wang, General Manager of Air China New York, highlighted the mutual benefits of the partnership. “Our collaboration with The New Terminal One will yield mutual benefits as we expand our presence in this critical market.”

Air China currently operates out of JFK’s Terminal 1, connecting Beijing and New York, two of the world’s most important cities. The New Terminal One, spanning 2.4 million square feet with 23 gates, will become JFK’s largest international terminal and is strategically located on the airport’s southern side. The terminal will be opened in phases beginning June 2026.
