Air India has made a significant change to its check-in policy for international flights departing from Delhi. Effective September 10, 2024, the airline will close its check-in counters 75 minutes before the scheduled departure time for all international flights. On September 6, 2024, the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, K Ram Mohan Naidu, launched the DigiYatra facility at Visakhapatnam Airport. This initiative leverages facial biometric validation to create a seamless and contactless travel experience for passengers. DigiYatra is set to be implemented across various airports in India, providing a significant upgrade to the way passengers navigate airports and paving the way for a more efficient and secure travel experience.
