He highlighted the Sunshine Coast’s undeniable appeal, citing its relaxed coastal vibe, delicious cuisine, breathtaking landscapes, and abundance of sunny days, making it a favorite destination for New Zealanders seeking a winter getaway.

Travelers flying to the Sunshine Coast this winter can enjoy Air New Zealand’s new ‘Seats to Suit’ service on short international flights, offering complimentary entertainment, snacks, and flexible fare options. In addition to the Sunshine Coast, Air New Zealand serves seven other Australian destinations during the winter months, including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Cairns, and the Gold Coast.

O’Brien emphasized the importance of the Australian market, stating that the seasonal flights cater not only to Kiwis heading north but also to Australian tourists seeking to experience New Zealand’s captivating wintry landscapes. The airline is eager to facilitate increased travel between New Zealand and the Sunshine Coast this season.
