Air Premia Partners with Korean Air for Interline Agreement, Expanding Flight Options from Americas

Air Premia, a hybrid airline, has announced a significant partnership with Korean Air, unveiling an interline agreement that marks a milestone in expanding flight options for passengers traveling from the Americas to Asia. Through this strategic collaboration, Air Premia will commence offering connecting tickets for flights originating from key American cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Interline agreements facilitate cooperation between airlines, allowing them to sell each other’s routes alongside their own. For passengers, this means the convenience of purchasing a single ticket for journeys involving multiple carriers, streamlining the travel experience with seamless transfers and baggage handling. Meanwhile, airlines benefit from expanded route options and the opportunity to attract more transit passengers.

Under this newly forged interline agreement, Air Premia passengers departing from key American cities can now book combined tickets integrating Korean Air flights, particularly for routes heading to Southeast or Northeast Asia via Incheon International Airport. These interline tickets will be available for purchase through authorized travel agencies.

From New York, Air Premia travelers gain access to eight Korean Air routes, including destinations like Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. Departures from Los Angeles open up connections to four routes via Incheon, spanning cities such as Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, and Singapore. Additionally, San Francisco, which recently commenced operations on May 17th, now links to the Incheon-Singapore route.

Looking ahead, Air Premia aims to finalize an interline agreement with Alaska Airlines, one of the United States’ top five carriers, by the first half of this year. Upon completion, this partnership will significantly enhance travel convenience by granting passengers access to 110 domestic routes within the U.S. and enabling seamless transfers to six Central and South American countries, including Mexico and Costa Rica.

Through these interline partnerships, Air Premia underscores its commitment to providing passengers with an extensive network of connecting flights. The airline pledges to further expand its skyway by forging additional alliances with major carriers in the future.
