Air Serbia has celebrated a significant milestone, reaching three million passengers in 2024, two weeks ahead of its previous record-setting year. This early accomplishment showcases the airline’s consistent growth and increasing popularity among travelers.
In the first eight months of 2024, Air Serbia operated over 31,000 scheduled and charter flights, demonstrating its commitment to expanding reach and connectivity. The airline’s focus on exceptional service and network expansion has been instrumental in achieving this milestone ahead of schedule.
Air Serbia’s CEO, Jiri Marek, expressed pride in this achievement, highlighting the strong passenger demand for flights to over 90 destinations in 34 countries worldwide. This early success sets a positive stage for the remainder of the year, positioning Air Serbia as a key player in the aviation industry and a preferred choice for travelers.
In 2023, Air Serbia transported a record-breaking 4.19 million passengers, achieving the third-best performance in its nearly 97-year history. Building on this momentum, the airline has continued its strong performance in 2024, further expanding its network.
Starting September 19, Air Serbia will commence twice-weekly flights to Nice on the French Riviera, enhancing its European offerings. Additionally, on September 30, the airline will launch a new direct route from Belgrade to Guangzhou, China, marking a significant expansion into the Asian market.
To support these new services, Air Serbia has strengthened its fleet, now including two wide-body Airbus A330-200s, 13 narrow-body aircraft from the Airbus A320 family, ten ATR turboprops, and two Embraer E195 aircraft. A third long-haul aircraft is scheduled to join the fleet soon, underlining the airline’s commitment to growth and global connectivity.
